Psychotherapist, Family Therapist and Civil/Commercial and Employment Mediator
Steve has 30 years’ experience as a psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer in the helping professions. As a psychotherapist he is qualified to Masters level, registered/accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. He is also qualified as both a Civil/Commercial and a Workplace mediator and is accredited by the Civil Mediation Council.
Steve’s interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) stems from him having served on the Ethics Committee of the United Kingdom Association for Humanistic Psychology Practitioners and hearing complaints against practitioners. As a psychotherapist he has extensive experience in group work and consensus building and as a consultant for the NHS and in the Further and Higher Education sectors. He currently operates a successful private practice in West London in which he specialises in helping individuals, couples and families where communication and trust have broken down. In all his endeavours he draws on his earlier very successful career in business and technical sales and is committed to providing a timely, very cost-effective service.
Steve has a particular interest in helping people to avoid the costs and psychological damage that can arise when family and other disputes escalate into litigation which epitomises the ASMADR commitment to Early Dispute Avoidance (EDA) and Early Dispute Resolution (EDR).
